A two-day roundtable discussion organized by Mukamira Community Based Organization (MCBO) in partnership with Never Again Rwanda (NAR) aimed at addressing human trafficking in Burera District. The event brought together 42 participants, including youth, women, local leaders, and CSOs, to share experiences, raise awareness, and strategize on combating human trafficking. Discussions focused on human trafficking causes, prevention methods, and involvement of institutions.

MCBO sought to commission an assess to examine the effectiveness of existing citizen participation platforms, both state- and non-state-created, in Nyabihu, Musanze, and Burera Districts, using the Tubategamatwi approach as a case study, and more specifically, the organization aimed to evaluate the progress made, document lessons learned, outline challenges and gaps encountered and thus devise strategies for revitalization. The assessment was conducted from 5th June 2024 to 3rd September 2024.
